Supreme Group Expands Operations Through Two Recent Acquisitions
Supreme Group is proud to announce two recent additions to its organization of companies. With these two acquisitions, Canada's largest privately owned steel construction company has increased our total production capacity even further.
As of January 1st, 2012, Supreme Group has acquired the shop at 1001 Jarvis Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba, previously owned and operated by Empire Iron Works Ltd. This facility will now be recognized as Supreme Steel LP Winnipeg. Supreme Group has had a collaborative working relationship with this Winnipeg plant in the past, and we take great pride in welcoming this work force into the Supreme Group team.
Furthermore, as of January 1st, 2012, Supreme Group has acquired the assets of Hopkins Steel Works in Welland, Ontario, from Empire Iron Works Ltd. The existing Hopkins facility will operate as Hopkins Steel Works LP. Hopkins brings over 50 years of structural steel fabrication and installation experience to the table and will be a tremendous asset to Supreme Group.
Supreme Group looks forward to integrating and working with both of our newest operational companies. Supreme Group President, John Leder, believes that these acquisitions will be reciprocally beneficial for both our new companies as well as existing Supreme Group operational companies: “We believe that there are many synergies between the operations,” says John. “By working together, we can learn much from each other.”
