Supreme Group Bridge Division Repairs CP Bridge
On October 11 2011, the south span of a two span CP rail bridge was impacted near midspan by a backhoe on a flat bed trailer travelling east. The accident occurred just east of Lloydminster on the Yellowhead Highway. The impact of the collision knocked the span off the concrete pier and abutment. The track suspended the structure and prevented the span from contacting the highway.
The following day, CP had requested Supreme Steel Bridge Division (SSB) personnel to visit the site and assist with an initial assessment of the damage and help with a repair plan for a quick turnaround.
