PCS Cory Red Expansion

The PCS Cory Red Product Expansion project began in 2008. This project's goal was to increase production, storage, rail car loading capacities for the existing mill, and to produce red products which are refined from potash in the form of fertilizer used in worldwide crop production.

This project consisted of making a new ore bin, process mill, head frame, conveyor galleries (completely furbished with insulation, cladding, electrical, piping, and roller assemblies), bents, transfer towers, underground crash steel, measuring flasks, surge bin, additions to existing buildings, and renovating parts of the existing mill.

Supreme Steel Saskatoon was involved in many facets of this project, including engineering, drafting, fabrication, coating, and erection. The estimated amount of steel needed for this project was originally projected to be 9000 tons, but the project has grown to just over 20,000 tons. Our ability to drive the project schedule, deliver steel in a timely manner, and our erection expertise has made this growth possible.

At the conclusion of the project PotashCorp senior management stated “I`d like to take this opportunity to thank you for the tremendous work your company did throughout the Cory project. The excellent work quality and work ethic of your people were quite noticeable. It was very much appreciated.”
