Port Mann Bridge

Canron was awarded the supply of the main span structural steel for the new Port Mann Bridge on September 11, 2009. The Port Mann bridge on Highway 1 consists of two five lane decks, one eastbound and one westbound. There will be two HOV and 3 general traffic lanes on each side. This bridge is a cable stay bridge, and replaces the original steel arch bridge that was completed in June of 1964. The new bridge will be built beside the old bridge, which will eventually be demolished.

Delivery of steel to the bridge site will start with the south side in early October 2010, followed by the north side about four months later. The last delivery is expected to be in March, 2012.
